Since she's about to die, she reflects back on her terrible life. Zero comments that she isn't foolish like them, but got caught on her own. They were betrayed and carried to the central square after their trial, so they could rot away publicly. She says that even though the girl is young, it's natural that the feudal lord would punish her like this, since she and her four friends were trying to start a rebellion. Zero remarks that the girl next to her always asks about her expression because she has lost her sight and her limbs have been hit with burning steel more than once. A voice asks her why she's crying, but Zero says she's laughing. Zero thinks about how much she hates rainy days.
